So far sales have been going pretty well at a local store which sells my stuff, called Victoire, which is pretty awesome. They even featured me in a post on their blog! You can see the post below↓

China
So, for the last month I've basically been in China so that's why I haven't posted anything. Don't worry, I wasn't suddenly run over by a truck or anything and am perfectly healthy and alive. I even gained 3kg actually, which is not surprising since that's all I really did while I was in china. Not that I'm against or anything since asian food is basically the most delicious stuff EVER. Oh, and I'm not talking about chinese takeout style springrolls and kungpao chicken, I'm talking about real chinese food. Wanna look?
Jealous yet?
Anyways I'm hoping to update again soon so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Crispy rice bowl with meat, lots and lots of delicious meat |
Wish I could eat like this everyday |
Mongolian hotpot and grabby hands, a great combo |

Vintage Find!
Recently while looking through my mother's closet I found an old vintage pair of floral jeans. When I asked my mother about my discovery she told me that they were from back when we lived in Germany and were brand name (does "Rosner" ring a bell?). I took it upon myself of course to not let this new found treasure go to waste and added it to my closet. :)
Aren't they awesome? |
Perfect for a comfy and casual look |

Victoire
So after doing the craft fair, I decided to email Victoire (a store in Ottawa that mixes edgy wares with classic pieces from many local designers) to ask them if they would be interested in selling some of my stuff in their store. Soon after I got a reply and their answer was DUN, DUN, DUN...YES! I'm really excited about this since I'm an avid fan of Victoire and love the aesthetics behind their store. I recently dropped off some of my pieces to them so if you stop by at either of their locations (Dalhousie or Wellington) you might see some of my stuff! :)

Craft Fair
Overall the craft fair was really awesome! I met a lot of awesome and creative people and it was a cool experience. It was also really tiring and I was literally knocked out for a good few hours after on the couch.
It wasn't so busy the first day so everyone was trading their stuff with each other instead, which was nice too (I got some pretty cool stuff myself). The second day was busier and so everyone made more sales which was great!
While I was at the fair a number of people suggested that I contact Victoire to see if they would be interested in selling some of my stuff in their store. My sister Ting, already has some of her stuff there which she says is selling pretty well. She also makes jewelry and you can check out some of her stuff on her etsy here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/acidzip !!
Here are some photos I took at the Craft Fair.
Here's some of the stuff I got at the fair!
I got a really cute pair of black, high waisted shorts from Savannagh and Magida. They're reworked vintage shorts so they are nice and tight around the waist but loose and comfy at the bottom. (you can find more from Savannagh and Magida at http://www.etsy.com/shop/SMknickknackeries)
I got an ink drawing of a whale at the fair too from Sarai. (you can find her at http://www.canitakeyourportrait.com/)
Last of all I got an awesome framed Polaroid shot from Regreta Brown. (here's her blog http://aformalistapproach.tumblr.com/)

Still Alive!...Kinda...
Sorry for not posting in so long! I was busy this whole time with exams and summatives since the education system seems to really enjoy torturing us so.
Anyways, I'll be participating in a Craft Fair this weekend at the new Archives Building near Centrepointe where I'll be selling jewelry I made. I like working with my hands so for me making jewelry is a nice pass time of mine. I've also set up an Etsy store (which you'll find to the right) which I'll be updating soon with some stuff.
I still can't believe the the fair is tomorrow (there's so much I still have to do...). I'm excited and nervous at the same time, but at least I have a little bit of experience from helping my sister with hers before.
The fair will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 10-4 so feel free to drop by and visit! The name of my stand will be Asymmetrics. :)
Here's a little of what you'll be seeing if you come.
